A one-day workshop in which participants work through their own startup ideas by writing the outline of a business plan. We review the classic approaches to the entrepreneurial startup while presenting concrete tools to help define a venture’s reason for existence and its business model. This is followed by methodologies to address team building, product development, operations, pricing, marketing, distribution, and finance. As the day progresses participants fill in the broad outlines of a business plan, working individually, in teams, and with the workshop’s leaders refining the ideas and numbers behind their prospective ventures.
The workshop will be led by entrepreneur Sonia Gil (Fluenz, Altamira Studios) and Hampshire alumni Carlos Lizarralde, who has started venture-capital backed and bootstrapped companies for 20 years.
